Recycling also results in energy savings and reductions in air emissions. At Guardian Plants, the cullet is combined with other raw materials to make new glass. The company helps to reduce the waste stream by increasing the reuse of limited natural resources.
Guardian has also placed emphasis on innovating products with special features such as UltraWhite or SMG, which can effectively absorb heat, prevent UV effects, yield soft but sufficient light into building. This leads to a reduction of electricity expense from air-conditioner and lighting.
