Dr. Thaworn Phornprapha founded Siam Motors Co., Ltd. on September 4, 1952, to trade new and used vehicles.  Through the vision and sound management principles of Dr. Thaworn Phornprapha, Siam Motors Co., Ltd. grew in leaps and bounds to become one of the nation’s leading Thai-owned private business enterprises.

Siam Motors Co., Ltd.  is proud of being appointed the first overseas distributor of Nissan vehicles as well as establishing a firm professional business relationship with Nissan Motor Company of Japan. For over half a century now, the company has developed a wide range of world-class products and operational and philosophical excellence, which it combines with trust and caring concern for all its customers.

Siam Motors Industries Co., Ltd. emerged on May 31, 1994, and has since been a key element in the Siam Motors Group of Companies.  Whether in sales and service of Nissan Forklift, Siam Motors Industries has shown remarkable excellence in all facets of the business.  Throughout the past decade, the company has been recognized for its product innovations and excellent after-sales service contributing to the growth of the country’s industrial and trading sectors.  The nation’s economic growth rate for 2003 is forecast to reach 6.0% for the first time since the economic crisis of 1997.

Over the past few years, various diversification and expansion strategies were implemented within the “Siam Motors Industries Group” including the opening of Siam Automotive Equipment Co., Ltd. on June 17, 1997, which was a strategic separation from Siam Motors Industries Co., Ltd. In addition, on January 16, 1998, PPN Rental and Service Co., Ltd. was established to offer forklift rental services to renowned companies, including a Forklift Rental with Operators Project for Thai Airways International at the Cargo Terminal of Bangkok International Airport in 1999.  The opening of PPN Marketing Co., Ltd. on July 9, 1997, to offer a rental service of new and used forklifts as well as sales of reconditioned forklifts to companies nationwide, was another innovation. PPN Marketing also supplies new Nissan vehicles, mainly to government agencies and state enterprises.
